I'm kind of torn between charging what I think my art is worth, the current pricing, and what I think will sell, which is a bit cheaper than what my art currently is at. It seems that ever since I raised my prices, I'm getting less people to commission me and I would like a bit of advice I suppose.
My prices are here. What do you think? Are they too high for what my art is worth, or is it just right?
Thanks for your time!
I think one of the points might be that not everyone wants to pay real money for digital art. I do so and that's why I'm limited to sP slots which are pretty rare. I personally think 5$ and upwards for a sketch is kind of high but I can't help on the other prices^^"
I feel like the sketch price is a bit high, but that's just my opinion.
The sketches are definitely priced way too high, especially for their quality. If they were more defined, or less blobby, it would be a different story. I'd say your speed paints really pretty, but should probably be $7-10 instead. Lines should be $10-15. Flats should be $15-20, and clean lines shouldn't be extra. People are expecting clean lines when you're throwing color in the mix. I'm fine with the shading prices because you put a lot of effort in and they look gorgeous. Painting prices just depends on how much detail and how clean they are, but they should probably be $30-50. Chibi should be 5-7, and just have backgrounds always be extra. In sum, as everyone says, people are more inclined to spend fake money than real money, and these prices are just based upon my personal opinion. Best of luck to you love, as you are very talented and have some gorgeous art!
Thanks guys! I appreciate it!! I really see what you mean about the sketch prices, perhaps I'll put up a more detailed example or something. Or even have two options? A messy sketch and then a clean sketch? Who knows. I'll be adjusting my prices today. Thanks for your help, you guys are awesome!
